How odd

Maybe they charged you 300 baht for one and 100 baht for the 2nd one since all they had to do was print it out.

You were supplying the documents, did you not check everything? You cant blame an official for highlighting your mistake.

We originally decided on the spelling of my full name/our surname when we got married so that's the way it's spelt on the marriage certificate. And that's what we've always showed for all future spelling requirements and I saved a copy in my phone. Once the spelling's correct on ID cards and Tabien Baans that's all that we need to show in the future.

Yep, if there's already a translation on some existing official documents, that's the translation to use at the MFA. Otherwise the inconsistency will be noticed and not accepted.

True Positive (TP) = The prediction exactly matches what actually happened in the event that the prediction is true and what happened is true.

True Negative (TN) = predictions match what happened in the event that the prediction is not true and what happened is not true.

False Positive (FP) = What is predicted does not match what happened is to predict that it is true but what happened is not true.

False Negative (FN) = Predictions do not match the actual. Is to predict that it is not true But what really happened.

well as you see, the DLT website says 1 year, so one year it is.

I have been checking this out today, as I say my car licence has expired. I notice the DLT website info has not been updated since 2016. The more recent information says that both the cert of residence and the medical cert need to be no more than 30 days old. Also the DLT is fully booked up until the 20th July for foreign licence renewals???? If the weather holds up I will be popping to Chonburi immigration this afternoon for my 90 day reporting and will make some enquires.

can I ask where you have seen 'more recent information', everywhere I look (other DLT offices) it says 1 year for the C of R and one month for the med cert.

Pattaya Expats Club information as of October 2019, and I`m currently monitoring threads on Facebook, people saying that there are currently no more appointments until at least 20th July and their certs will have expired however one has said that because he booked the appointment while the certs were valid they will honour them. Immigration were no help today regarding DLT and could offer no information. However you had a result with the price of your residence certs as they confirmed 300 for one and 600 for two. Please follow up on here when you have made your enquiry at DLT, thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I will go to the DLT on Thursday to hopefully book an appointment and ask about the Cert. I will report back. They truly are an odd bunch, but we know that.

I have just edited my post, the Pattaya Expat information is from October 2019. Judging by what I am reading on Facebook you wont currently be able to get an appointment but will be told to return on 20th July along with everyone else that enquires, I hope I`m wrong. I actually need an appointment asap after 20th and my birthday to get my 6 years.

yep. I never thought that I would like the Emergency Order to be kept on, but it may be the best bet at the moment, keep the DLT closed to licence renewal.  Maybe they could then just add 12 months validity to everyone's licence that has, or is about to expire. Job done

But they also ask for a valid IDP,  neither of which is valid for driving in Thailand if your passport says that you have been here over 3 months.  I am not so much worried about the cops, that's just a fine, I am worried about invalidating my car insurance by driving illegally. That is my worry.
