reallyaffiliated
Things are starting to look bad for us non-married guys waiting to get back into thailand.. The Thai government is now no long supporting the idea of travel bubbles.. Seems like it could take a lot longer then it seemed a couple days ago with all the talk about travel bubbles.. I think they are too scared of a second wave right now. What do you guys think would be realistic to get back into Thailand again from Europe?
Popular Post tribalfusion001
When a country has been covid free for 30 days, then maybe. Some countries are just too scared of covid-19 and will bust their economy just to save a few people, stupidity. 17 3 4 1

allane
Given that the OP is outside of Thailand, his getting married wouldn't help. Both he and his new wife would be in the same position - two foreigners with no basis to enter Thailand. 1

If I knew this was going to happen I would have 'planned' to have been outside and then got 'stuck' outside, and had a proper break from all the nonsense in this country. 4 2

Head of village turned up at my house today out in the country, with couple of helpers and some officials, no mask and no teeth in his case, just checking the land as we submitted our tax paper thing a while back. Also these countries have gone into massive debt funding programmes such as mortgage holidays, reduced credit card interest, amnesties on people exceeding overdraft limits, furloughing staff etc This is because they care about their citizens and invest in them. That doesn't happen in THAILAND, Laos and others in the region who do not give a damn about their people or the hardships they are suffering. Your post is shallow and ill thought out as well as inaccurate. Edited June 18, 2020 by Scouse123 12 1

EricTh
@reallyaffiliated The July 1 opening is only for a few countries. Out of these few countries, only selected people like professors, work permit holders will be allowed in. Try again in Aug 1 whether they will allow retirees and people married to Thai from selected countries. Try again in Sep 1 whether they will allow tourists from travel bubble.

Not sure where your head is buried but, no curfew, beaches open, can buy a beer at a restaurant (or 7/11 if you prefer), 95% of all business can open, pretty much back to normal other sitting in a bar all day.

Hell no, beautiful Canada, things barely even blinked here, few industries were hit hard, such as service, other than that, most never stopped working, all normal, sunny out, clean air I can breathe, great fishing , overnight camping allowed. Interprovincial travel. Got another government cheque yesterday, in lieu of my week off. Cold beer always available. Life's good. 4
