The Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) will propose registration methods for the three domestic tourism stimulus packages – Kum Lang Jai (Encouragement), Rao Pai Tiew Gun (Let’s travel together), and Tiew Pan Suk (Trips to share happiness) – to the Cabinet on June 30.

Lavaron Sangsnit, FPO director-general, said talks on Friday (June 19) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Krung Thai Bank on registration methods for the packages ended without any conclusion.

“So, we instructed the TAT to reconsider methods again proposing them the Cabinet on June 30 to ensure that ways [for the public to apply] will be ready for the opening of registration on July 1,” he said.

He confirmed that registration methods for the packages would be made as simple as possible for the public and tourism businesses.

“Meanwhile, we have to improve the [online registration] platform to ensure that applicants’ data links with tourism businesses, in line with guidelines approved by the Cabinet,” he said.

He believes that these measures will help stimulate the economy and generate revenue for the country.

TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn said his agency had joined with the FPO to create the registration platform, which will vetted by the committee on stimulus loans before being proposed to the Cabinet.

“Also, we are waiting for the government’s guidelines on the ‘travel bubble’ pacts,” he said. “We have prepared a plan to increase the number of foreign tourists after the Covid-19 outbreak is resolved, to generate revenue to the country.”

Domestic Tourism is full swing this Long weekend.

On Sat and Sun July4-5, 2020 now, there are huge crowd here in Jomtien along the entire stretch of Jomtien Beach.

It was all dead in Jomtien during during April and May.  In June and July,  it is busy in the weekend.  And this long weekend is extraordinary busy.  Restaurants and Hotels ( some are opened while other had gone under )  and vacation house rentals are very lively.   Not busy are massage parlor  and shopping mall traffic is so so only.

Someone forgot to tell the TAT that there are no incoming flights. Duh. It hurts my brain.

Of course it would hurt your brain, even though the brain has no feeling.  Why say what I did?  You obviously did not read the article correctly.  There is no mention of tourist coming in from other countries so of course they would not have to depend on incoming flights only domestic flights.

'nuf sed.
