webfact Posted June 24, 2020 Share Posted June 24, 2020 Plucky teen 7-Eleven staffer outwits would be robber Picture: Daily News A plucky and quick thinking 18 year old sales lady in a 7-Eleven in north eastern Thailand thwarted a would be robber at her store. Chairat, 27, had pulled out a box cutter and told "Kae" (an assumed name) to empty the till. Kae who was behind the counter was shocked but maintained her composure and engaged the robber in conversation to stall for time. Meanwhile a colleague at the store in Pho sub-district of Muang Kalasin called the police. A patrol happened to be passing and they soon had the suspect in custody before he got a single baht. He said that he had lost his job due to the Covid-19 crisis and needed money.
