NON-B PROCESS (COVID SITUATION)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My old VISA (Extension of stay based on employment (NON-B)) is already expired last week 22nd June 2020. I went to immigration to ask what to do and how to extend my VISA since I have a new employer who will issue me a VISA (Same VISA NON-B).

They cut my old expired VISA and issued me a new one based on amnesty.  Now I am trying to get a new NON-B Visa with my new employer but they kept on saying that I have to get out of the country.

Please help me! I've been going back n forth (LABOR/IMMIGRATION) with no luck.

If your new employer had applied for a work permit for you and got approval letter for the application you could of applied for new extension of stay (not a non-b visa) wit a termination letter from your then existing employer.

Then after getting the extension yoru new work permit could of been issued.

Now all you can to is wait until you can go someplace to get a new non-b visa.

What kind of application should we do? My employer are quiet confused with the process as we have tried many times with CW with no luck. They said they cannot process my new work permit without a visa.

They didn't issue you anything new, they just stamped in your passport that you quit your job and have to leave Thailand on 20th June.

Because you are on a non-immigrant visa already you can't apply for a new non-immigrant visa in the country.

You only option is to apply for an extension based on working. Under normal circumstances they wouldn't do this, if you are lucky they do this now while under the "amnesty", but it might require an agent.

That would be the Department of Employment saying that. Not immigration.

Did they try to do it before the June 20th when your extension expired?

only after it has expired. that is why it is a big problem now.
