CentralWorld unlocking Bangkokian’s fitness with pop-up running track

CentralWorld is inviting exercise addicts to “unlock” their fitness at the running track that has sprung up beside the mall in central Bangkok.

 

 

The 500-metre track is open daily from 5pm to 8pm until July 22 and is already attracting a mix of serious athletes, fun-runners and selfie-takers as the city emerges from lockdown.

 

Part of the “CentralwOrld Sport Unlock Phase 1” campaign, the running circuit is designed to cater to shoppers’ health and wellness needs at this time, said Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana. executive vice president of marketing of Central Pattana, the mall’s operator.

 

 

More health activities would be organised at CentralWorld over the next few months, he added, pointing out that the mall was home to more than 50 health-related shops and services and the starting point for several marathon events.

Just in time for the field burning festivities and horrendous air pollution that engulfs Thailand for 6 months of the year? Oh boy! 

CentralWorld is right next a horribly busy road with traffic lights so i doubt its very healthy to run and open up your lungs there.

Go for a run at CW and die of lung cancer later on, nice!

No! Cannot! That's the smoking area...we have to go that far out to smoke and it's enough! There still is no ashtray to be found but without smoking me and my family won't come to Central World anymore! Enough is enough.
