Warning the opposition? Just shows what a self important megalomaniac this man is. That is what the opposition is supposed to do  question the government. Oh sorry I forgot it was a dictatorship.

Are there still any opposition MPs? I thought they had banned, jailed or bought them all.

  • I should stop reading headlines while drinking coffee..

Khun Prayut graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy.

So he even didnt got a master degree. Which science? Shouldnt he work in an army lab? In my country all military officers are obliged to master English beside our official languages. So maybe the opposition made a point.

The only problem I have with Thai politicians insulting each other is that it is not done with more panache and wry humour. Several foreign politicians have insulted with far more flair than just calling each other unintelligent.

Churchill called Ramsay MacDonald “a boneless wonder," which needs no contemplation.

Clement Attlee was described as “a modest man with plenty to be modest about” and as “a sheep in sheep's clothing” as well as “a modest man, who has much to be modest about”.
Denis Healey described

debating with Geoffrey Howe: Like being savaged by a dead sheep.”

If only Thai politicians were more creative in their insults we might follow the twists and turns of Thai politics with more interest.

Bad grammar

If you can join the military and learn to kill people; if you can drive a car or truck that can kill people, or if you can work to support a family, you should be allowed to drink alcohol.

If the government wants to stop accidents, make people learn how to drive correctly, educate them to respect others, dont force adults to buy huge quantities of alcohol before a dry day. It just encourages them to binge drink. Ban drunk drivers for life but stop these nonsensical bans.

I recall he did say something to PM David Cameron at a big meeting that they both attended, just a passing few words in a corridor, I think...Can't remember what was said...

I think Cameron said who are you? And he replied its 3.30

What can you expect from children in adult bodies.

I liked Dennis  Skinner quotes.

Half the tory party are crooks.

Speaker: you can't say that.

Well okay half of the Tory party aren't crooks

So not very well educated then. Just clawed his way to (nearly) the top of the tree, in spite of his mediocrity. Or nepotism, or paid his way?

What intelligence is he speaking of-building air cleaners outside?  Spraying water in the air to clean it,  using boat propellers to stop flooding, giving out government money right before an “election”, and thinking nobody catches on?

I could go on...
