Bangkok's deputy governor Sakonthee Patthiyakun made an inspection visit to the BTS and boat services in the capital and expressed satisfaction that all the post pandemic regulations were being followed to the letter.

At Phayathai BTS station there was screening and limiting of passengers on platforms. Everything was orderly and all staff were doing their jobs immaculately.

Daily News reported that the system was now operating at 600,000 passengers a day. It would normally be 800,000.

Sakonthee then went to view what the boat transport was like on Klong Phadung Krung Kasem that was reopened on July 1st.

It was not operating anywhere near capacity yet but passenger numbers were expected to increase.

Like on the BTS the regulations were being followed and cleaning was taking place three times a day.

Seven new electric boats are planned for the canal and should be in operation by November.

The frequency of the service that operates from 6 am to 7 pm  will improve from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes.

Well the orange flag boat service is definitely not up to normal standards in frequency.

I also heard they are not operating at all on Sundays?
