No insurance if required unless you used a Non-OA visa to enter the country and have been extending the stay from it.

You will need a print out obtained at Bangkok Bank showing 12 months of transfers when you apply. But some immigration offices want a letter done at the bank listing your transfers and confirming they came from abroad.

You bank book will need to be updated shortly before you apply or on the same day at some immigration offices.

You will also need a letter from the bank confirming your account and the balance on the day it is written.

Some offices will want proof of the source of your income.

How did you do it last year then?

He probably used proof of income from his embassy before. Some people were able to get them at the end of 2018 that were valid for 6 months.

My office (Rayong) also required bank book copies (in addition to original bank statements saying exactly the same thing) when I applied for my latest retirement extension based on 65k monthly income last week!

Does that include showing a transfer for the month the extension to stay expires and you re-apply or just the prior 12 months?

For example extension to stay expires Sept 2020 would you show 12 months of transfers Sept 2019 thru Aug 2020?

Bangkok Bank has a habit of consolidating data in the bank books making them useless for showing the monthly international transfers. I used to get away with updating mine every 3 months and all the transactions were printed. But they changed that so now I think you need to update monthly but I could be wrong. Maybe having copies of the bank book gives the IO a feel for money moving in and out as a confirmation even if they don't show the actual international transfers.

yes, i have been staying on a non o-a, extension of stay every year.

last year had letter from embasy.

i use the 65,000 method.

after the transfer is done, i pay all my bills and everyday living expences from it.

it will only show the 65,000 international transfer on the day of receiving, from then on are withdrawal.

i have a copy of my social security statement for the year, which is where i get the 65,000baht.

i wanted to change to a non o, but they closed the borders and not able to.
