Stopped at services for big pee pee.....thought I would have BIG MAC from Macdonalds.....went inside....saw PRICE 215 baht.... Said to myself effin ell......5.40 in uk money...... Many many of the same things are cheaper in the UK now. Street-food, hotels and Chinese junk off lazada, Seafood and Whisky on the table in a bar are a few of things which are cheaper in Thailand these days..... ...of course, there are probably a few more...i.e. comparing housing in Bangkok to London... but if comparing degree of civilisation (I wouldn’t want to live in Rural Thailand but would prefer to live in Rural UK) - I can get a larger house, with more land in the Rural Countryside in the UK than I can in Bangkok (I know, apples an oranges - but its a comparison of ‘costs I face’ between Thailand and the UK). 12 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
