Video: Out of control Benz driver will face four charges in court today

A woman who was behind the wheel of a Mercedes Benz who was chased by police through Bangkok after damaging several vehicles and injuring people will appear in Rachada court today. 

 

Wichuda, 37, has complained of business conflicts and stress. 

 

A 15 minute video showed various stages of the chase as Bang Sue police and others repeatedly tried to stop her drunken rampage through the streets.

 

After capture she had an alcohol level of 257 - five times the limit. 

 

The incident began in the north of the city on Tuesday night in Khae Rai and continued to Tao Poon.

 

She will appear in court today charged with DUI, negligent driving causing damage and injury, not reporting an accident and resisting arrest.

Her husband apologised on her behalf. 

 

On the way to hospital she spoke of problems with her business and court cases related to that.

 

The police said that contrary to rumor she had no connection to MP Chatchawan Khong-udom or Chat Taopoon - she just happened to be parked outside his address.

Looking at the video ,what a farce,they should have smashed her window

in and dragged her out of the car, suspect if it had been a Vios that may

have happen, but a Merc Police afraid they did not know how well connected

the driver was.

Doubt it will get that far – she is busy today so cannot attend but will drop the authorities an email when she is free to attend

Don't be too critical, 

After all she did say sorry, even after all those peasants left their cars and bikes in her way

She now has to drive one of the older cars in the garage

Unbelievable how ineffective the Thai cops are when it comes to action. They should have smashed the windows or shot out the tyres (assume they never heard of stinger spikes). Suspect they were worried it might have been an influential driver and were afraid of repercussions.

I am happy we do not have the trigger happy police some other countries have.

 

Comedy Kappers at their best, take the gun out, shoot the tyres, or break the window with your piece and pull her out by the hair, too easy for some !

Unbelievable video why didn't the BIB shoot her tyres so she had to stop driving? She had already driven over 2 cop motorbikes. This is probably the worst driving video I have ever seen. She was endangering life and should have the book thrown at her.

Why don't the police officers shoot all the tires of her car?

The only way to deal with a Hi So it to lock them in a <deleted> house of a jail for a year or Two. 

Fining a wealthy person is no punishment at all.

You ever fired a 9mm at a car..Unless they all used a .357 or .44 magnum I doubt the car would stop, but pedestrians would be lying all over the place....????

Unbelievable...  when the cops do attempt to shoot out someones tyres there is an overwhelming consensus of comments implying they are ‘cowboys’ putting the lives of others at risk with potentially errant gunfire. 

 

Spike strips...  and yes... the book should most definitely be thrown at her. 

 

We will soon read how she has a medical problem, has apologised and will attend a temple to make merit for her wrong doing. Two weeks from now she’ll be doing the same time thing having confirmed the only lesson she has ever learnt - she can do what she wants. 

In her defence, it was dark and her new Merc  had a darker window tint than {most likely} her old one did.

I doubt the RTP are gend up on the location of Merc electronics, if you miss a tyre shot it doesn't give up, it carries on till it is stopped or runs out of puff.

 

 

It's like watching the Keystone Cops. LOL

I suppose they might be worried about being dragged 200 metres down the road and taking extra care.
