Hi all. I'm currently in the UK and have been since March. My multi entry Non O Marriage visa expired in April 2020. I always go to Savannakhet to obtain this visa as they don't ask for any financial requirements. What are my visa options to get back to Thailand from the UK? Do I need to show the 400k in a Thai bank account to go and see my family?

Does the single entry require 400k in a Thai bank account? It only states "financial evidence" on this website. https://thaievisa.go.th/Home/Family

Is a UK bank statement ok?

I believe they will want to see financial proof, but not sure of the amount: possibly only the equivalent of 20,000 baht or so. A UK bank account is fine.

The major issues are

  1. The cost of flights (repatriation flights) is higher than you would have paid in the past.
  2. You need to pay for a 14 or 15 night quarantine in an approved hotel.
  3. You need to pay for, and somehow get a Covid-19 test, dated no more than 72 hours before your flight's departure.
  4. The UK embassy is not very responsive to any enquiries you might want to make.

Thanks for the quick answers folks. Much appreciated!

Very good to know that I don't need 400k in a Thai bank account.

Where can I check the repatriation flights and hotels?
