Pattaya: Thai man goes to the police after getting fake driving licences through the post

What could possibly go wrong when applying for a driving licence via an app?

 

Everything for a Pattaya man and his group of friends. 

 

Somsak, 29, met a person on Facebook which led him to go to "Mr Pong (documents)" on the Line application where he was assured that everything was legit and he could get a car and bike licence that very day. 

 

It cost 3,000 baht but that was a small price to pay for the peace of mind of avoiding anyone with Covid-19.

He even invited several friends to join him in the exercise as the site looked completely believable. 

 

But when the licences came through the post it was obvious they were fakes.

He went to the authorities and reported to the Pattaya police, reported Manager.

 

Somsak advised others not to be fooled otherwise they would end up wasting their money, like him.

Like they say, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

I'm sure that he will be back at the cop shop next week complaining after he gets his brand new 'American Passport' delivered from the same source.

 

 

Wait.... he tries to buy a hooky driving license online (without taking a test I assume) and complains to the police when the licence doesn’t look realistic enough..... ok.

Can't believe how many suckers there are out there.

So he wanted to buy a license without having to do a test?   Then he need to talk to the real people , and hand over a brown envelope to the officials waiting for a bribe.

And if anyone believes that to have been the reason for using the App they got other issues. 

So why did he order it?
