Ferry To Kpn

Featured Replies

Hello,

Can you tell me if any other Ferries run from Samui to Haad Rin. I know the Haad Rin Queen runs from Big Bhudda to Had Rin, but I thought most of the others go to Tong Sala. Basically, I am arriving in Samui from Bangkok on the first flight and the Haad Rin Queen doenst start running till 10.30 (I think), is there any other ferry service that goes from Samui to Haad Rin or do they all go to Tong Sala?

Yes, I know I could go to Tong Sala and then get Songtheaw to Had Rin, but got a couple of the oldies coming out with us and dont think the walk from the Taxi place to Sunset Side of Had rin will be a walk in the park in the heat..more like a marathon (well for me, cos I'll end up carrying the bags!). So easier if we can just jump of at Had Rin and then stay on the Sunset side.

Also, is the sun shining or is it overcast and on the just bearable/unbearable heat scale???

Thanks

The only other public boat is the one to Thong Nai Pan, I think this goes from Mae Nam and stops in Haad Rin on the way, but I've never got it, and don't know what time it goes. The only other option would be private speed boat, the people next door to the big buddha pier will usually get one ready at short notice, but will want 9 or 10k baht. sailing in samui have private speed boats for 5k for one hour, I've not used them and don't know if they'll want to charge for the trip back as well.

And it is baking hot and not overcast and we could do with some rain.

There is an 8am boat from the new pier in Bang Rak/ Big Buddha bound for Koh Tao via kpn

Haad Rin Queen is the only boat that goes from Samui to Haadrin (aside from the one that goes to TNP, but that is a large longtail). All other boats go to Thong Sala
