BANGKOK, Aug 21 (TNA) — The Marine Department and Energy Absolute PCL have introduced the first electric passenger boat in the Chao Phraya River.

In the “Modern Phenomenon of Mass Transit” event, Marine Department director-general Withaya Yamuang said his department was cooperating with the private sector to introduce electric passenger boats and expected such vessels would be actively operated from next year on.

No thanks.  I'd find or build my own.

Shocking...

Brilliant. The company is building buses too. Blue skies ahead Bangkok!

Building their own super fast charging batteries. I have a feeling this boat is going to be in the news again with a fire, explosion or both. Could be wrong, we shall see.

Cheers

I'm going to bet on it being stalled due to unexplained battery discharge/short life. Floating, floating, floating on a River...

One of the things I liked about the current river boats is that I was never far away from being able to jump off if something went tragically wrong.  These are zoomy looking for sure.  But bailing out in case of an emergency doesn't look practical from most of the cabin.

It looks cool. Paint it black and put the captain in a Batman suit.

no more f umes all over town ,yippee
