Premchai-affiliated company applies to use huge land plots in Loei province

The Forest Department and civic groups in the northeastern province of Loei have raised strong objections to the Loei Land Office’s decision to consider an application, from CPK International, a private company affiliated with construction tycoon Premchai Karnasuta, for a concession to utilize 726.88 hectares of land in Phu Rua and Dan Sai districts.

Transport Ministry to build over 12,000 km of rubber fender barriers within three years

BANGKOK(NNT) - The Ministry of Transport continues to support the use of para rubber to promote road safety, in an effort to ensure the stability of para rubber prices in the country. Yesterday, the Prime Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, attended the launch of a pilot project on Highway No. 3249 in Chanthaburi province. The project uses natural rubber sheets to cover concrete barriers and installs guide posts made from natural rubber to boost road safety.
