It seems the requirements have been updated in the last few days and the links are all broken on the updated website.

In order to get a CoE, the embassy now requires a COVID test and FTFC, but as I have to apply for my visa at the same time, I'm unsure of the relevance of this requirement. The wording doesn't really make much sense either.

* If you have urgent need to travel, and your flight is within 72 hours, you must submit the documents in (5) and (6) with your request. If your flight is more than 72 hours away, you may submit these documents when you apply for visa or before the Certificate of Entry will be issued. Please note that the Thai authorities in Bangkok reserve the rights to request more documents as deemed appropriate.

Has anyone been through the new process yet? Does this mean I need to get the test twice, as by the time my visa is processed, the results would be useless for travel.

They just redid their website so about everything about visas are gone.

You have to apply for the visa online at https://thaievisa.go.th/Home/ . Register, select the visa you want and go throughout the steps. Where it asks for flight hotel hotel reservations upload a file stating you are applying for a COE.

What visa will you be applying for.

I was looking to research the possible options for my daughter who plans to spend some time in Thailand next year.

I also have a retired friend in the UK who was asking about retirement and marriage visas.

Until things get back to normal for them issuing visas there apparently will be no info on their website.

If you daughter is not Thai she could get a single entry non-o visa to visit you if you are on a extension of stay. Info is here on the evisa website. https://thaievisa.go.th/Home/Family

The info above also has info for a non-o visa if married to a Thai.

For retirement they only show the the OA and OX visas. https://thaievisa.go.th/Home/LongStay  But they will issue a single entry non-o visa for retirement.

Hover your mouse over the pics on the homepage of the e visa site to find links.

Only if you are applying in China, France or the UK. It is mandatory at those embassies.
