Quick question - conversion from amnesty to non-O for retirement

Hi,

 

What does an American citizen need to do in order to convert from a tourist visa (on amnesty) to a non-O for retirement? Apparently this needs to be done this week (tomorrow or Wednesday) by first getting the "valid until Sep 26" stamp at Muang Thong Thani and then a conversion to a 90-day non-O? What are the requirements to convert? 

 

Then, in December, the conversion to a 1-year non-O with the appropriate funds would take place.

You will need to meet the financial requirements to apply for the visa. But the 800k baht only needs to be in the bank on the day you apply.

You would then apply for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry from the visa. At that time the 800k baht would have to be in the bank for 2 months.
