At the moment there are Petri-dishes, sorry, Cruise ships 'parked up' all over the world.

It would be intefesting to see future plans the companies have for them.

Don't know all the details but far east cruises always seemed to be based from Japan or HongKong. How long will take the Japanese to become confident enough again to pile onto a ship, think Diamond Princess?

HongKong has it's own 'particular problems' being broadcast to world daily.

Cruise ships in the western world don't tend to come to the far east.

Does all the above mean the thoughts once again are looking at the Chinese market where they will come on shore for a day, walk around following the flag and buying a bottle of water or two from 7/11.

Or maybe this is one of the few long term term plans the happen now and then.

All above just a mull.

It seems rather silly to talk about all this while the old Waterfront construction sits there uglying-up the place and these goons have been able to do nothing about it.... for 6 YEARS now.

But what about that monstrosity of an unfinished building blighting the landscape there already....The Waterfront....what are they going to do about that should be more important....:whistling:

If I remember correctly the Waterfront building had at least 2 major problems - not approved floors and too close to the sea - building within 100 meters from the shoreline is forbidden. I wouldn't be wondering if this new project moves it further away from the sea. Originally there was a new marina planned that would have solved this because this project would have been build into the sea and so would have moved the shoreline at least 100 meters away from the Waterfront building.

it is used for 2 things/reasons.....one A TOURIST ATTRACTION......two.......all cruise ships will use it, like/as a lighthouse to guide them in to Bali Hai !!!!!
