BANGKOK, Sept 9 (TNA) – The Department of Disease Control (CDC) denied that a parent of a student of Sarasas Witead Suksa School contracted Covid-19, saying the person tested negative for the virus and is being quarantined.

The school in Samut Prakan province announced to close from Sept 8-11 due to a report that a parent was infected with coronavirus.

To allay public fears, the CDC disclosed the details on the issue, saying that the parent is a family member of a pub DJ, who later became an inmate in a drug case and was found infected with the Covid-19 before being transferred to a prison.
