Embassy letter

When is the last day to apply for one?  And when is the last day to go to immigration and extend your visa?   Since everyone is getting under consideration stamps.  

I am American.  And if they don't extend the amnesty, I need to use a letter.  But just don't know these specifics - when do I need to apply by, how long does it take to issue and when is the deadline to go to immigration?

If you haven't done so I'd just get one asap and if you need one with a later issuance date just get another one but I'd be on the safe side and just get one now. They can obviously stop providing them for any reason at any time.

The US embassy issues them within hours of submitting the application.

You can apply for the 30 day extension up to the 25th since the 26th is a Saturday.

People that apply early get a under consideration stamp dated the 26th. I assume when the go back the 30 day extension will start on that day.
