The wealthy Thai elite can then buy electric baht buses with no competition from cheaper gasoline baht buses. People may have to wait longer for a ride than in the past, so service delivery is down. The price to ride will then be raised to 20 baht, or more, to ride. Somchai, with his traditional baht bus, goes broke. kingofthemountain Posted September 11, 2020 Share Posted September 11, 2020 If i am not wrong the bathbus drivers in Pattaya don't own the vehicle, they just rent it to the structure owning the fleet that's why they are all the same type of vehicles, with just the number printed on the door being different. They could easily get ride of the oldest ones (The vehicle, not the driver lol) and replace them by electrics Anyway even in normal time, there are far too much of them on the road However i don't know if the structure is a public one, linked to the city hall or a private corporation. They operate like taxis Day shift 12 hours Night shift 12 hours.....
