The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration today (September 10) reported seven cases in state quarantine over a 24-hour period. All new cases are Thai returnees

.Four men and one woman returned from Saudi Arabia on September 5 and then tested positive for the virus on September 8. And a mother with her 2-year-old boy, who came home from India on September 6, also tested positive on September 8.

Meanwhile, 24 patients have recovered and been discharged.

As of today, the number of confirmed cases in Thailand stands at 3,454 (516 in state quarantine). Of these, 86 are in hospital, 3,310 have recovered and been discharged and 58 have died.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am the number of confirmed cases globally has passed 28 million. Of these, 20 million have recovered, 60,533 are in severe condition and 907,982 have died.

Thailand ranks a safe 122nd for most cases in the world. The US has the most number, with 6.54 million, followed by India (4.46 million), Brazil (4.19 million), Russia (1.04 million) and Peru (702,776).

Yes time to balance the books with a couple of unexplained cases now here lets have 7 imported ones today ????

7 found positive at time of test does not actually equal just 7 positives.

And you could have been on the plane with them! Why dont returning Thais have to have a cv19 certificate before flight..... oh, thats right, only foreigners have covid

Shows the value at least of quarantine as a detection point rather than infecting the general populace.

Maybe some value in this.

I have been locked in Vietnam since Tet Holiday (January) and we are just going through a second wave here - mainly from reopening from first restrictions too fast - try to get local tourism pushing and illegal refugees border hopping.

Vaccine may be our only chance of semi normality (6m ?)

While Phuket thinks it's safe to open up to the world.

Every day.

I should be interested in knowing if these seven were/are asymptomatic.

imagine how many FARANGS that did all the test, the infected on/during the flight

You can just imagine how desperate they were to find any foreigners positive to fit with the new jackboot fascist narrative.

Does Thai Nationals need a CV 19 Negative Certificate to board a plane back to Thailand ?
