Moonlover
Amazing, two pages and 29 posts on this subject, yet it seems no one thought to read reference in the NME correctly. Not even the O/P! According to some fans, a woman was “taking over the role of Bond” (she isn’t) – and it was all down to a sudden case of “political correctness” She has been cast as 00- Agent Nomi. Sakeopete
What's next a transgender Wonder Woman leading to a male lead? Why does Hollywood need to ram female empowerment down our throats? Edited September 11, 2020 by Sakeopete
Shot
Perhaps a remake of the movie "Powder" (1995), starring a Black female would also be gender and race appropriate. ????

Trying to update Bond and make him/her woke is like 1984's rewriting of history. If you need female heroines, create them (Lara Croft springs to mind, and, to be topical, Diana (RIP) Rigg's Emma Peel). Don't try to ride on the coattails of something that's been and gone. Have you not noticed that women love bad men? Sean Connery dripped sexuality. Since he left the series they have been riding on the reputation he built. All the ones I really liked before corona were by independents.

I knew that, but you apparently missed that it's become about her and not Bond. Any of those new hollywood movies about "strong" women kicking men's butt are rubbish.
