The Pals. But who cares?

Stabbed how? More like another case of making bad decisions.

Relations between the UAE and the PA has been strained for some years now. Last time Abbas visited was 2011. Last time the UAE donated directly to the PA was 2014 (funds transferred after that were funneled via the UN). The UAE also plays host to one of Abbas's Palestinian political rivals.

There is no imperative for the UAE or Bahrain to put Palestinian interests before their own.

In a sign that regional strife is sure to continue while the Israeli-Palestinian conflict remains unresolved, Palestinian militants fired rockets from Gaza into Israel during the ceremony, the Israeli military said.

Ya got to ask yourself why the Palestinians didn't  consult with The League of Arab Nations(which the Palestinians, UAE and Bahrain are members) to discuss a mutual agreement and stop this nonsense ! When two parties(Israel and Palestinians )  can't come to a agreement like in a divorce proceeding the judge steps in and suggests that they  must reach a amicable agreement.

"The League's main goal is to "draw closer the relations between member states and co-ordinate collaboration between them, to safeguard their independence and sovereignty, and to consider in a general way the affairs and interests of the Arab countries"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_League#:~:text=Palestine was shortly admitted in,for the Arab–Israeli conflict.

What. exactly, are you on about? The rockets were fired by the Islamic Jihad (which is a terrorist organization based in the Gaza Strip - and which does not answer to the Palestinian Authority, and only sometimes to the Hamas). The Arab League got nothing to do with it.
