A mother went to the media not knowing what to do after a pit bull brutally attacked her daughter and son-in-law leaving them seriously wounded in two hospitals.

I know what to do, but the dog lovers of this world wouldn't agree with it.

  • Sorry but they need to be put down after attacking more than once , this breed is notorious for attacking people and killing as well .

  • Give them a new home ,buried in the back garden . God knows who would keep a pit bull as a pet.

  • Well mother in my opinion you are totally brain dead, you waiting until they kill a child before you have them put down. They need destroyed now, not later.

as others have said ... put them down

The best home for these savage creatures is doggie heaven. They need to be put down. Pit bulls can be fine dogs, if properly trained. Obviously, these were not, and are a hazard to anyone who gets near them. If they attack close family members, they need to be put down immediately. They have proven they are of no use to anyone. No room for PC bleeding hearts here. And if there are any, I suggest THEY volunteer to take these dogs, since they are available. But, better to just do what needs to be done.

The only good pit bull is a dead one & I am a dog lover

Pit Bulls need a lot of exercise, morning and evening. It appears that these two were caged day in day out. Cruel and stupid.

Can I ask a simple question?  WHY would anyone have one?  maybe as a guard dog for a business, I get that, but at home?  There are 100s of docile breeds are the owners trying to have a "I'm a hard man" type moment?. Ban them.

Pitbulls were never bred to be aggressive to humans

but when aggressive, can get carried away... and being trained to fight, they just might win against an innocent 5 yr old...

it is not just the dogs who were treated badly...

yes but how many people are as expert as Cesar? would you keep a lion if you were not a lion tamer?

And how many so called lion tamers have been mauled to death by their charges? There's a good reason why the Pit Bull is considered a dangerous dog breed. It's because most people do not know how to handle and control them.

I know what to do with them. I'm an animal lover...but there are situations when they pose a threat and should be dealt with

They are a working dog, suitable for security in an enclosed area when handled by trained professionals.

The government should make an expensive license compulsory for ownership, which includes insurance and the requirement to get trained to handle these animals.
