Because the people who are behind this STV scheme own testing and quarantine facilities. That is the whole point of the scheme!

Where did you read this, as I'd say it's bunk. I know ASQ's have been very heavily booked before and up to the STV for Thai's and certain foreigners wanting to come back...but this STV has not even been announced dates or countries or final requirements yet, so I think you may be confused... Cali farong
I wish they would make a final decision. I have to call my pilot and tell him to get the Gulfstream ready to go. And go to bank and withdraw a couple million.

That's not the same thing. During travel there will be a lot of contact. It's the 14 days after that that matters.

I have been confirmed that the Centurion is accepted (not so sure about the JP Morgan and the Merryll Lynch -since they have been under the spotlight lately but the Santander Unlimited definitely is). Have a great flight and stay.
Stargeezr
Well if the requirement drops to 7 days, the government and TAT could ask for addresses of these people and for them to do 7 more days at their properties to be sure that they are good to go. It would lessen the costs to the travelers and the Special hotels would still get some profit. Maybe by November enough brains will get used to get some better and acceptable plans in order. One can only hope Geezeer
