After New York Times revelations, Trump says he paid millions in taxes

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Trump could easily prove NYT is "fake news": do what he promised to do 4+ years ago: release his real taxe returns. Problem solved.

Trump may have paid millions in "personal" taxes; Sales taxes, real estate taxes, luxury taxes, gas taxes, social security, etc etc

But the subject is income taxes.

I've paid plenty of taxes in Thailand: the VAT on about everything, condo transfer fee tax

Never paid income tax

Bigger question is who does he owe and how much leverage do they have?

US banks were burned too often, so much of his money is from Russia (was it junior who said that years ago?). Trump got huge loans from Deutschbank when no others would. That bank plays fast and loose with regs, known to launder money from Russian oligarchs.

Wonder if Trumps backers here may finally wake up and say

"Ya know, maybe we should have demanded tax returns from him back in 2016...."

With what they have to deal with likely yes.

Ok, a person's debt has everything to do with maintaining a security clearance.

Especially a person who has business dealings with lots of foreign business entities. We know that Qatar helped bail Jared Kushner's family out of via a bizarrely favorable sweetheart purchase of a property owned by the Kushners.

Maybe they try to beat Trump in making claims without evidence, but I'm sure nobody can beat him in that

My first thought was the hair.

If that is the hair you get for $70,000 a year he should sue.

Maybe that was the agreed upon price, but the question is - did he actually PAY?

The combined sum of over 1 billion dollars in debt  including offshore interests by a POTUS that refuses disclosure of  evidence of  where that debt is owed is certainly grounds  for concern.

He still has hide hes tax "paid" money much better than hes bald patch!

Strange nobody find hes alleged tax money! If i paid millions i ask receipt!

Maybe he thinks he's the government and as he paid to himself, he paid millions. Or if he doesn't think like that, it's very easy for him to prove that he's not lying about having paid taxes and having very low debt compared to assets; just release what he's been asked to release for the past 5 years+, which even the guys doing a decade long audit on say is free to get released...

The interesting follow up will be when tax investigators check the records of the person that 45 claims he paid $70k to.  Wouldn't be surprised if their declared income, on record and subject to annual report and investigation, may not match with payments declared by the customer.  That's probably another crime.

As usual, Trump is lying and distorting the facts. What he really meant, is that he paid millions in taxes to states, overseas tax authorities, and social security benefits for employees. He only paid $750 in personal and corporate taxes in the US. Of course, this is a very embarrassing revelation. Especially this close to the election. And his taxes also likely reveal his Grinch nature, and the extreme lack of charitable contributions.

There was no question he was hiding alot, when he refused to release his returns. There is nothing about this release of his returns that will help him. This is only going to damage him more than he is already hurt. He is very damaged goods! Biden by 7-12 million votes.

Hey Donnie, facts don't care about your feelings ????

Some people just don't get it.  Trump lies, the Times doesn't.  Thus, he hates the Times.  He loves Faux News because they let him spew his lies unchecked.

Try getting a top level clearance in the FBI, CIA, Army, Navy, etc etc if you have debt problems. These are R-E-A-L issues for anyone other than the *president*

Especially if those debt are owed to foreign entities. Trump got bailed out by Deutsch Bank. Deutsch Bank does lots of business with the Russians. And Trump has never personally criticized Putin.

So why does he not just release his tax information in order to prove that it is fake news?
