First post wasted yet again.  Hilarious how some people spend every second of their day waiting with bated breath to spew vitriol. Oops, my mistake... For a minute I'd forgotten that was Dems policy.  Keep chasing those precious "likes"!

A trump supporter commenting on vitriol, priceless.

  • How coincidental that the illegal leak of Trump's tax information is released just days before the 1st presidential debate.  Almost as if they had nothing going into the debate and sorely needed somet

  • Yes, the timing is coincidental. However the facts are real, and this is politics. And are you claiming the Republicans play fair?

Biden is not the great orator that Obama is, but I hope he goes for the jugular with Trump and tears into him.

Probably yes this is what he needs to do.

Somehow think the reality will not be quite like that.

We shall see. Don't forget. Biden likely has a 60 IQ point advantage over Trump, which is not a hard thing to have. And he is quite fluent in policy, which Trump is not. So, as long as he stays on script, he should prevail. He has to resist the gutteral baiting of Little Don.

Biden needs to be an attack dog, like Trump, from the start of this debate. He needs to show no respect for the office of president, and fire one effective missile after another. The tax issue only gives him more ammunition. Shows what a business failure Trump really is.

And it might be effective to refer to him as Little Don. Those kinds of things really get under his paper thin skin. Make him lose his way. Make him stumble. Let's go Joe!

I like that one 'little don', he's had business with the mafia in the past - confirmed by Australian Federal Police when seeking permission to operate a casino in Oz; he was refused - so an excellent put down.

Many Dems have been blinded to their own hypocrisy by their 4 year hate campaign and heightened sense of moral superiority.  Keep chasing those "likes"!   (Truly feeling your grief at missing out on top post this time - it will pass with time)

Herein lies a problem. Shouldn’t the potential President of the USA be able to act off script?

And us blind Dems return this challenge - don't just fling poo, state facts. To date, that has shut down every 45 supporter I've engaged. Facts and truth are their Kryptonite.

I saw today that Trump Jr. said that his father had paid millions in taxes (yes, yes, I know...he would say would he!) He also quoted contracts that approved under the Pres. Obama admin which for various reasons, required very little in tax from profits. Now, I don't know if any of that is true or not but what I haven't seen is that the IRS are pressing charges against Pres. Trump. So does that mean he has not committed illegal tax evasion?

Contrary to the self created myth, Trump can barely negotiate his way out of a paper bag. Just think of how many have gotten over on him, and taken advantage of his lack of skill and prowess, in the past few years. Putin, Xi, Kim, MBS, and countless others. Now, the leaked tax returns paint the rest of the sorry picture. 17 major business failures! Possibly a record. And financial losses for decades. Unless he is lying to the IRS too. Very possible.

IQ advantage. Says who?

Fluent in policy? Maybe he used to be, he is not fluent in anything now.

Don't forget Trump flunked out of business school. Many of his teachers and fellow students were quoted as saying he was over his head, and fairly dim. His speech and elemental articulation certainly indicates that. So many of his quotes do too. Need I repeat them here? His lack of policy prowess, in addition. So do his multiple business failures.

I double down on my assessment. Joe has 60 IQ points at a minimum, on him. Biden is a very smart man. Granted he has slowed down a bit. But, so has Trump. Alot.

4 more years!

We will see, trump campaign is winding back on Bidden being semi senile as concerned it may backfire on trump in the coming debate - only a short time to go...

Yes. But, I was referring to the reptilian baiting and bullying that Trump is likely to engage in. All Biden has to do is respond with a line like "Don, stay on point. Stop showing us who and what you are. We already know that. So does the nation. I will not be joining you in the gutter during this debate. Sorry to disappoint you".

The only thing illegal is NYT rag . They are considered press (a joke)and can not be forced to revel sources .

I don’t watch FOX. But the New York Times, Washington Post and Boston Globe have many issues. Hard to debate that????

It' hard to debate because it's meaningless. Most media venues have 'issues'. Just what issues, whether and how they effect reporting is another matter. The way you presented it is more of a general dismissal, and is not in line with fact and reality:

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-post/

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/boston-globe/

As usual for Trump supporters, no clear alternatives are offered. The most common deflection being along the lines of do-you-own-research - which is no answer. You guys don't like the MSM, but the host of them 'alternate' sources you often pile up are often even more biased, and rarely (if ever) go through the same level of scrutiny with regard to reports.

It's actually very legal, and not a rag. They are no considered a joke, and like most such media sources, they have some protections when it comes to revealing sources. As far as this forum goes, the New York Times is an acceptable source, so guess you'll just have to put up with it.

The important word missing is "income tax." Sure, 45 pays a LOT of taxes to overseas countries that don't favor people like him, and state taxes he can't fake. There was a $72 million income tax return that the IRS has been scrutinizing, and I understand if 45 isn't re-elected then he will face HUGE fines. This is a man whose net value is in the negative millions. He is fighting like a cornered animal to stay out of jail.

And what facts might those be?  Nothing illegal about Trump's taxes have been proven to date.  So you have facts but proof of nothing.  Go ahead and pin your hopes on it.  Another "gotcha" moment.  How many of those have we had now?  Someone should be counting.

Very funny. Now, let us see what the, “court of public opinion” thinks. The working middle class has justified frustration/anger at the economic squeeze. Part of those who supported him believed he would, “drain the swamp”. Now they are faced with the fact that he is part of the swamp taking their tax money while he pays little to nothing. Agreed ... because that is how the , “swamp” designed the tax law ...

This concept  is lost on the masses, who have a very low level understanding of basic tax or business knowledge.  Imagine trying to explain this concept to a rioting mob, it would be futile.  Makes for good headlines to stir up the minimum wage crowd.   LOL  ????

It is the working middle class who are stirred by inherent injustice in the taxation system. Yes, that does include the minimum wage crowd ... they also vote.

I preface the following remarks with stating, I am not a citizen of the United States.

I also preface the below remarks by saying, they apply wherever, not just and uniquely to the United States and it's upcoming election for the Presidency.

I detest those who harp on about 'fair share'. I detest those who call it 'gaming the system'. Presumably, the tax authorities were satisfied that the correct tax was paid at the time.

Granted that perhaps the system needs review and possibly changing, but it is the system, not the person.

Get a life.

Read the article, the tax authorities are not satisfied.

Get a life might be a bit hard, some reading glasses seem sufficient.

Nothing illegal? You haven't been paying attention. The only reason he's not in jail is because he's protected by a questionable legal decision that a sitting president can't be indicted. Does Individual-1 ring a bell? He has lied about the values of his properties to suit his needs. This WILL come out and I hope they have an orange jumpsuit that will match his tan.

Regarding questionable. High Crimes and Misdemeanours are covered in Impeachment. Are you making a claim that if there was a reason to indict the President of the United States for a crime, that Nancy pelosi would not have took that and ran with it in front of the American public? Even I, and Trump supporter would most certainly want to know about a crime that the President committed, I mean was it as serious as a phone call to the President of the Ukraine? I guess not. That tells me everything. Oh and if there was a crime, I mean a real crime - that has evidence and everything - some dastardly deed that would result in the President being removed - I would support the removal of a President - any President, but as usual here this is just talk isn't it? Otherwise we would know - I mean the Press seems to know everything else right? I do pay attention. As for truth I know what is coming out.  Goodbye Democrats.

I don't trust the NY times. Let's revisit this story in a couple weeks and see if they apologize - again!

Well, if ignorance of the facts is any indication that you're not a citizen...in fact, as is repeatedly cited in articles, Trump claims he can't release his tax returns because they are being audited. It's a lie that he can't release them but the being audited part is true.

That's the thing with quality media venues - they check, recheck, correct and admit mistakes and mess ups when relevant. That's the sort of thing not practiced by most of the so-called 'alternative' sources. Question is will you apologize if things turn out to be true? Kinda doubt it, as this will probably still takes months to sort, and internet anonymity is very handy.

Oh yeah, Bob Woodwards tell all book!

Whatever happened to that Woodward book? It was supposed to destroy Trump, and 2 weeks later you don’t hear about it. That was after The Atlantic garbage story was supposed to destroy Trump. Which came after the Ukraine story that was supposed to destroy Trump. Which was…etc., etc. See a pattern here yet?

Have you seen the polls?

Actually, I hope that Biden doesn't pursue the tax stuff. People are so used to Trump lying by now that I don't know that it will make much of a ruffle. Better to let Trump worry about the possibility. What Biden should be going after is the effect that the appointment of Barrett will have on Obamacare. 38 states now including many Red States have approved its expansion. In five of those red voters actually voted for it in referenda over the objections of Republican governors and legislators.

NYT, established since 1851, with worldwide influence...

Trump - serial liar - most influential person in the world..   calling US Press the "enemy of the people":

"President Trump told Lesley Stahl “ ‘You know why I do it? I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so that when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.’”
