Popular Post rooster59
Thanks for nothing! Fraudster steals 20,000 THB from good samaritan in Korat Image: One31 Good Samaritan Pannakrit, 34, thought he was doing the owner of an ATM card a favor after he found it left in a Bangkok Bank ATM machine at Terminal 21 in Korat. He said he had just come out of the toilets and heard a noise from the machine and found the card. He immediately handed it in to the customer service who made an announcement for the owner of the card to come forward. But then he slipped up - instead of leaving it at that he went further to try and trace the owner. Thinking that it would be helpful he took pictures of the card along with the all important details such as the three digit security number on the back and posted on a Korat residents' site on Facebook. He said he didn't censor the details. Before the card could be returned to its rightful owner someone used the details to buy 20,000 baht's worth of goods online. The card's owner was pleasant about it and did not make an issue with Pannakrit. A report was made with the local police after the incident on Wednesday. The card owner had a message for the thief - return my money and we'll say no more about it. steven100
Khun Pannakrit got too involved, hand it to the bank as he did but he should have walked away after that. maybe he was hoping for a reward from the owner. He's not very savy on CC security. Edited October 3, 2020 by steven100

Not as smart as he thinks, if that's the case. The seller has to deliver the goods to somewhere. They usually need phone numbers or email addresses, all traceable.
