  • How damn disgusting, not only 1 teacher at 1 school but many teachers at many Sarasas schools. Best thing that could happen is close every Sarasas school now.

You ask where would the kids go, well they could then go to a school where they would be treated a lot better.

It is clear by reading the founders comments, that the only thing Sarasas schools are interested in is making money, not the welfare of the children.

I love how so many law abiding citizens have chosen Thailand as a their new home. Lol, why on earth would you come to one of the most corrupt countries in the world?

Nothing wrong with a bit corruption

Where would all these kids go then?

Plenty of other schools around, but many are just money machines, I doubt it would take long for a few schools to increase class sizes / add more classes etc., more income.

On a different angle, continuing to license sarasas because 'where would the kids go if they are closed' is not a valid argument.

Is the picture above just a generic one of the police, or did they feel the need to have coppers dressed up like Black Noir?

They do know the teachers involved only act tough when faced with tiny children, right?

They are arresting a hi so so don't want to be identified in case the hi so has evil hi so contacts!

there are currently 91,500 students enrolled in Sarasas schools, need a bit more than a few schools.

May well be true but ultimately not a valid reason to allow this school to continue their behaviors.

It is true, so shutting down the schools and just send the kids to few other schools isn't going to work. People involved should be fired and prosecuted and there should come a system which gives better control over the teachers.

This school system seems to use corporal punishment techniques that were common in the UK in the 1960's and 70's where exactly the same happened until outcries like this forced the government and local authorities to take notice and stop it. Thailand seems to be undergoing the same process as the UK did in the 80's. I think the authorities are trying hard to crack down and revise the system but there is a great deal of inertia and passive resistance from the teaching professionals who are otherwise good teachers.

If all the Sarasas Schools were closed, it would still only be a small step in eradicating the Culture of Child Abuse in Schools that exists throughout Thailand.

This issue of Child Abuse which is endemic throughout the Country, is an issue that Thailand should be ashamed of.
