Not all are empty.  But yes, many in the tourist hot spots are empty, or closed!  Those catering to the domestic market are packed on the weekends.  Allowing them to survive.  For now.

 Insane, the country that gave the whole world a severe virus will be the first country to visit Thailand. Like nothing has happened.
