PHUKET: Health officials’ aspirations of using the ‘Phuket Model’ of preventing and handling COVID-19 infections in other provinces has taken a heady blow this week after an intensive ‘track and trace’ campaign successfully hunted down some 290 people suspected of infection after close contact with one COVID-positive man who travelled through Phuket, while a 38-year-old Dutchman confirmed as infected in Phuket just days after entering the country remains entirely unexplained.

Confirmed as infected in Phuket ... does that mean that his infection was disovered while he was in quarantine ?

Or , has he become infected after leaving quarantine ?

If he just arrived in the country , he must have had a Covid test .

Just days after entering the country means that he became infected in the country he was in before traveling to Thailand ...?
