Thai Airways International (THAI) is selling more than 400 products via its TG Warehouse Sale Facebook store in order to generate extra revenue for the company, the firm said on Wednesday.

The move was initiated by THAI’s management team to optimise the use of plates and utensils to suit the number of flights that are expected to decrease significantly over the next one to two years due to the Covid-19 crisis.

People can search for THAI products and place an order via https://www.facebook.com/tgwarehousesale/. They can decide whether to receive the products at firm's Suvarnabhumi warehouse or through a delivery service.

Getting desperate. It wouldn't surprise me if that cheap tacky crockery had already been used.

Looking at the items, it seems they're selling off their galley inventory. Tiny packets of peanuts on offer, too?

Thought they had a lots of old 747 For Sale ?  Not listed ?

That price is just trolling. The shipping costs, unless they plan to fly it direct to you, will be more than the purchase price.

is that a plastic bowl ?

I hope the pricing is optimistically  based on the idea Thai people will want expensive memorabilia.

Or if the prices are near what they paid no wonder Thai  had a financial problem or two !

They'll be thrown in as a bonus with each box of cold towels purchased.

Having worked in the Exhibition game for years promotional items were a noticeable sum in the client’s budget, however looking at the items offered and their prices I can easily see a markup of at least 90+%. So very obvious why they are in the current situation.

Should be a few tins of black paint in there somewhere, B50,000

each?

Before the bankruptcy auction starts......................

Expect a stall at the Chutuchuk market soon....

Actually, Thai is getting rid of all the junk they have before bankruptcy hits them...... and the execs are getting nervous and need cash!

I wonder just how many people would want to buy TG memorabilia given their reputation for poor service?

Looks like brain damage is a serious problem at all levels of government run public companies.

And I wonder if the costs of selling are being revealed when they publish their sales revenue and profits from these items?

Or are the sales costs being added to their overall debts?

Is that with a warranty or not please?

I trust they will use the (any) proceeds from the sales to re-pay ticket holders that have not yet been reimbursed.

We have 6 shops and stalls at Chatuchak, I don't want Thai lowering the standards there please.

There's always loads of s**t to throw overboard from a sinking ship....

It might be cash-&-carry sale: "Fly here, or fly home?"...????

My thoughts as well - removed from the redundant airplane galleys and THAI airport lounges. 1,790 baht for a food bowl - Amazing THAI!!!!!!!!

1,790 for a box of 30 but don't let that get in the way of another opportunity to trash THAI airways.

Most of this bric-a-brac I've seen over the years on occasion in local markets

Needless to say always being hawked at a fraction of these ambitious prices
