Bang Poo Samut Prakan police and the electrical authorities were in attendance after a six wheel truck with Khon Kaen plates caused a power pole and cables to come crashing down on an Isuzu pick-up following behind.

The pole went through the roof of a roadside som tam (papaya salad) and fried chicken stall.

Fortunately there was no loss of life or injuries though damage was estimated at 500,000 baht.

It happened in Soi Mangkorn Nakdee, Samut Prakan south east of Bangkok at 11.30 am yesterday.

Maybe they can sort out the wiring while it's accessible?

People still walking by. Don't they understand the danger they are in? Unless the power has already been cut....
