From the O.P

In a summary of his advice, Allan found that Patel had become "justifiably in many instances" frustrated by officials' lack of support, and this had "manifested itself in forceful expression, including some occasions of shouting and swearing".

The skeletons in Johnsons cupboard are exceptionally full as we're about to find out when Cummings lobs the grenade in judging by his constant covering

I can see Johnson and Cummings holding hands in the exercise yard of Wormwood Scrubs with Patel screaming hang em high

What’s the matter with these civil servants, what a bunch of fairies, can’t take a bit of swearing.

To be fair Boris wanted a team of Brexiters. And obviously it's very difficult to find a Brexiter who is also smart and competent. But that's obviously only one of his problems. 2021 is near...

To be fair the liberal elites in Whitehall don't like working for the government, they think it is them that should be running the country, in Patel they found they were working for her and not the other way round, she deserves a pay rise having to put up with these faceless wonders.

But Sir Keir Starmer has chosen to side with the elites, well done Labour.

From the op

Her approach on occasions has amounted to behaviour that can be described as bullying in terms of the impact felt by individuals," Allan's advice said. "To that extent her behaviour has been in breach of the Ministerial Code, even if unintentionally."

Johnson initiates an enquiry by Alex Allan Independent adviser for Ministerial Standards following the resignation of Philip Rutnam then ignores the outcome because despite alleged pressure Allan won’t water it down.

He then reportedly WhatsApp his pals to inform them to form a protective square around Patel.

Patel claims she was under intense pressure and surprisingly no one pointed them out or made it known to her. Obviously shouting and swearing at others is deemed normal behaviours to her. In a response yesterday Rutnam said she was advised by him on many occasions that she needed to treat others with more respect thus indirectly calling her a liar.

Surprisingly Rutnam wasn’t asked for any input into the enquiry.

Let alone government, I am sure if I, or anyone else behaved like this in the workplace they would be looking for a new job Priti quickly.
She must be very special to him. He is going to need a bigger closet soon.

Sadly, despite  you getting some “laughs” from members, ranting and swearing at others is not even allowed on this Forum. Feel free to give it a go and let us know what the outcome was.

Having established that the reason for the Minister's frustration was the perceived lack of support from her Civil Service staff, I can understand the frustration that she felt at times.

It is the duty of the Civil Service to administer the policies of government, even if the staff consider the policy wrong. The staff may offer advice as to how the policy should be implemented, but is not permitted to impede the implementation.

On the other hand, if a Minister cannot hold their temper and swears and shouts at staff, they have lost the argument already. They should be replaced, and counselled and never be appointed to hold a responsible position again, and any Civil Service staff seen to be obstructing the Minister's will should also face the same sanction.

Good for her, give them Sir Alex Ferguson's 'hair dryer' treatment, about time as well.

Don’t know why you said that I had no intention of swearing on here. All I said was about the civil servant wossies, that can’t take a bit of swearing aimed at them, I did an apprenticeship back in the sixties ,if you messed up you got sworn at or even a clip round the ear.Didn’t go whinging to the boss,

I am in love with this woman. If she was single I would go back to the UK and try to marry her.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday backed one of his most senior ministers after a damning inquiry into allegations that she bullied her staff concluded she had broken rules, including shouting and swearing at them.

Boris Johnson is probably thinking about his last "heated" meeting with Dominic Cummings , just before he resigned/got sacked .

"If I criticise /fire Petty Patel for shouting and swearing and then Cummings makes the same allegation about me...............I will have to resign*

If it’s not acceptable behaviour on the likes of this forum why would it be acceptable at any workplace?

Answer is its not, and deemed as a disciplinary offence at your workplace unless you have a boss who condones bullying and unacceptable behaviour.

Maybe her swearing and losing control was as a result of her pettiness. Fair point.

The basis of your accusation that I did not read the report is my question to you asking ‘where’s your evidence of incompetence?’.

You then provide an excerpt from the report which makes no reference to ‘incompetence’.

So no, you don’t have evidence of the ‘incompetence’ you claimed to be Patel's justification.

That an an aggressive foul mouthed bully does not get the support of her subordinates is no surprise at all.

‘Liberal Elites in Whitehall’.

What on earth are you talking about?

Appart from they've all almost certainly benefitted from a first class education, what basis have you for your allegation of them being ‘liberal elites’?

It was stated in the report that Patel got frustrated by some peoples "lack of responsiveness" .

They were not responding to her , so they were not doing what they were supposed to be doing, which makes them incompetent  at doing their job

OK, so now you are inventing interpretations to back up your earlier unsubstantiated claim of incompetence.

No, I am just able to use my own fitting words, rather than just copy other peoples .

Being unresponsive isnt doing your job properly and not doing your job properly is referred to as..............incompetence

This implication is incorrect. It is not stated  the circumstances causing the frustration.

As an example it as been reported that Patel became frustrated that civil servants were unable to overrule a court judgement preventing deportation.

Yes I understand.

There’s been an investigation into Patel’s behaviour, she has been found to have broken the Ministerial code of conduct, the facts are known.

So rather than sticking to the facts (what you refer to as ‘other people’s words’) you made up your own excuses for Patel’s behaviour and simply can’t bring yourself to admit you did so.
