Necessary to translate an English Marriage Certificate to get the kror ror 22?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm starting the process of applying for a 1 year extension based on marriage but first we need to register our marriage in Thailand. Our marriage certificate is from the US and is in English, does it still need to be translated to Thai before we can get the kror ror 22 from an Amphur?

Thanks.

It has to be translated to Thai and then be certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA in Bangkok.

Have you done a affidavit at the US embassy to do a self certification of your marriage certificate that will also need to be translated and certified.

Have you asked the amphoe what they require. They may also want certified copy of you passport done at the embassy and translated to Thai.
