I agree that these short term rentals often really diminish the quality of life for the others in a building. It should be strictly limited if not banished. If the government was truly serious about wanting to control this, they would propose a phone number or website where you could denounce the practice, and better yet, propose a small compensation. -

I kinda agree with that. The embassy isn't there to bribe your way out of whatever crime you've committed, advice maybe. Also there seems to be a misconception, primarily with the Brits, when some health emergency happens the embassy will get you home. Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Now that we have established that Vinny and this Oily fellow is the gold standard of EV knowledge, I want to come clean and confess I am in the process of installing solar power. I know it is a very dangerous and slippery slope, that over time could lead to an EV, but since I am paying 30 baht/kWh, it is a risk worth taking. At the moment I am using 12 litre of diesel daily to generate electricity, so the main problem is how to maintain my carbon footprint 👣 when switching to solar 😉. -
