Popular Post foreverlomsak
Enjoy the stupidity, do not get depressed, I’ve lived it, I’m still here and laughing about some of it, they are not in sequence and there will be no office attributions. They involved offices ranging from Bangkok to the north and none are recent. a) You can’t convert your Visa on Arrival to a non-Imm O for marriage at 48, as you only have 1 child. Oh, your Thai wife is pregnant, if you get a doctor’s certificate as proof of that then no problems. b) You maybe got this information from a senior officer in Immigration HQ last year, but it’s not acceptable here, you need to……... c) You are not old enough at 49 to have this (a married extension of stay), who did you pay to get it, go back to them. d) Despite 3 years of extensions previously, also having copies of Khor Ror 2 and Khor Ror 3, you are not married in Immigrations eyes if you can’t produce a copy of the MFA certified “Affirmation of Freedom to Marry”, you will need to change to retirement. e) Your bank letter is 5 days old, it needs to be less than 5. f) You need an Embassy letter to prove income. Yes, even with 1,600,000+ THB in your Thai bank account. g) You’ve changed bank accounts half way through the year, that’s not really acceptable (pre 800k / 400k change). h) Your bank has ticked the box that states you have a balance of 7 digits, it’s not acceptable as it doesn’t contain the actual balance, how do we know it is over 800k and agrees with your passbook. As I said at the start, Enjoy the stupidity. 1

Funny you should mention this, I lost the plot on the wife yesterday because all the receipts, vehicle papers and immigration were in a right state - so we spent the day sorting through folders of unwanted copies and receipts for broken purchases. I found the mfa translation or a stamped copy of along with the original from the British embassy. The wife was going to sling them .. luckily i saved them. To be honest I believe this was just an excuse to get out of their paperchase (and referral to higher authority), retirement is done on the day whereas marriage requires 2 visits. I know of nobody else who has ever been asked for the MFA papers.
