STV questions

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I found this post and got excited - https://www.posttoday.com/economy/news/639819?fbclid=IwAR0-DkiIHkSe84wecnhU87pTx67u8k5i_LXRe2Ch68JiwoBVp2t0ahLTB1Y.

It says that now you can apply for STV from ANY COUNTRY!

Assuming it will become official soon, I have some questions about STV, hopefully can find someone here who already got it.

1. It says that you need a proof of accommodation for the whole stay in Thailand after ASQ. Since I don't own a condo, I'd want to show them AirBnB booking for 1 month. I can't show for the whole stay because I don't know where I might travel later while in Thailand. Is it ok to show booking for a month or a few weeks?
2. Do I need a return flight ticket or can it be one way? Once again, I don't know for how much time of the 9 possible months I will stay.

3. Does the thai insurance need to be for 9 months period? If anyone got it, how much did it cost you for 9 months? I'm considering AETNA.

4. Does the insurance in https://longstay.tgia.org/home/companiesstv cover any hospital expenses, not just because of COVID? In other words, do I need another health insurance or one from there is enough?

Thank you!

For accomodation RTE Helsinki has been strict that provider has to be "legal" with tax id. Minimum booked time should be 75 days..

Any way you should wait your embassy details when they update.. They may differ a bit.

Fox example RTE Helsinki want to see the balance of 6000 euro every month for the last 6 months if no ownership your own condo etc,,

Not same others who are giving STV , s

Process for Finland you can read
