As I recall, the states that Trump won registered no objection to mail in votes. It's only the states where Biden won that the GOP and Trump are bleating foul.

Brilliant, spread infection even further by making people attend polling booths.

Need to stop the Electoral College BS and elect the President on the popular vote. State your problem with that concept. Given your obvious bias, I'm interested in the verbal gymnastics you may perform to defend a ramshackle, outdated structure.

The embarrassment keeps piling up for Trump. In his lawyers submission for joining the Texas case, the claim is made that no candidate that won both Florida and Ohio lost the election (also tweeted out by Trump). Unfortunately Nixon lost the election in 1960 even though he won both Florida and Ohio.

45 doesn't care, the money keeps pouring in from delusional supporters. THAT'S the REAL embarrassment!

This a joke. They should file a lawsuit against themselves! ????

"Essentially, the Texas lawsuit alleges executive officials in the four states that went for Biden improperly tweaked voting rules, thus invalidating their results. But Texas' own Republican governor did exactly the same thing, using an executive order to extend the early voting period for the 2020 election, Reuters' Brad Heath notes. The suit also alleges Pennsylvania's decision to accept late-arriving ballots "raise[s] concerns about election integrity" there, even though Kansas and Mississippi, two supporters in the case, accepted late ballots as well."

The really hilarious part is that Texas, the most pro "state's rights" of them all, is raging against the exercising of the rights of other states to run their elections the way they see fit. Texas should be careful - otherwise their ability to run their own elections the way they want to may be called into question, thereby repressing their state's rights.

Thereby ensuring a voter's basic right to a secret ballot.

Article isn't close to the facts on what is going on.  Proven that those sued states violated the constitution by changing rules without going to their state legislature  while other states followed the law is what this is about. it's about the rule of law and fairness and that is way 17 other states have joined in with Texas along with the state legislatures of GA and PENN . The supreme couth on this either supports the US Constitution or not. Those other states would not have joined in if they thought it was a loosing effort.

Of course they wouldn't have joined in Because political considerations would never enter into such decisions. At least not in Bizarro world.

Not exactly the same thing apparently. Several other things. I found the filing so you can take a look for yourself if you like:

No. Had the suits been presented before the election then they would have stood a small chance of review. Because they're being presented by angry 45 supporters after the election and only in states where 45 lost is absolutely the biggest pile of sour grapes imaginable.

Obvious massive voter fraud but then the Texas law suite isn't about that . It's about states breaking the law.

Its interesting to note

The filing says, in big bold letters, "TEXAS" v Georgia, Pennsylvania etc.

It doesn't say Texas and 17 other states v  Georgia, Pennsylvania etc

17 other states have not signed the filing, 17 other states are not suing anyone.

17 other states have basically said "go ahead Texas, sounds like a great idea", and they have said it outside of court.

No. You wrote that it was the process being questioned. If there were concerns, they should have been addressed before the election. Because the election results weren't how 45 supporters wanted, they go crying to the courts. Over 50 times the courts have told them "No" and some judges have warned about wasting their time. And Texas demanding other states run their elections how TEXAS wants? Sour grapes x 2.

Scotus to trump.

Why did you wait so long to file the complaint. Why was this not an issue until you lost and only an issue in the states you lost.

Trump to scotus

Fake court, fake question, everyone knows it was a fake election.

Denied.

I guess that's the  crux of the problem.

It appears that there are two America's in question.

The one I love is appalled by the heinous jackal who is currently president * of the other America. I pray he never succeeds in making that America great.

Sorry. You''re dead wrong. Texas maintains that these states altered their laws or rules in violation of their laws BEFORE the election. That's when the wrong was committed. But Texas waited until after the election to file its complaint. Courts really don't like it when plaintiffs play gotcha. Particularly with elections.

A Democratic Process that I would love to see upheld, to preserve the republic imop!

Better still abolish the Electoral College altogether for presidential elections and then let the electorate vote and choose the next president. They can keep the Electoral College for Senators etc but let the people decide who THEY want for POTUS.
