Package at Lak Si for delivery, pick up possible?

Hi, 

I have ordered a diving device for my wife as a Xmas gift. https://www.scubastore.com/scuba-diving/suunto-tank-pod-d5-eon-steel-eon-core-transmitter/1234863/p

The package arrived at Lak Si today after a long wait.

The problem is that we are flying to the islands on Saturday the 19th.

I would need the package by Friday the 18th in Chachoengsao where I live.

If the package has not moved by Friday, do you think it would be possible for me to show up at Lak Si to pick up the package?

The delay will be import taxes, you will receive a pink slip in the mail telling you how much the tax is and the location to pay and pickup.

 

Happy to be correct if  wrong but I though Lak  Si was a mail sorting centre and the parcel will the be sent to your local post.

Lak Si is a sorting/distribution point. Items are usually 48 hrs through this section before passing to your local Area office and finally local Post Office.

 

I doubt very much if you could intercept it anywhere along that route.

 

The only and sure way is ask the Post Office directly but Thailand being what it is, that will largely depend on who you speak to on the day.

On the 2nd my daughter sent me a package ems ,its shown as leaving destination for thailand on the 4th ,now nothing , just says during transportation ,so god knows where it is.

My experiences are as above with Laksi being a sorting facility.  However, your tracking should show when it arrives at your local post office.  Don't wait to be notified by them. Take your tracking number and ID and go to your post office. They have always released the package to me before the notification slip arrives.
