Hello, my actual visa finish on 28 December, and I would like to apply for the new Covid extension of 60 days.

But Im reading that sometimes the extension start to count since the day you apply for it, and not since the day your visa finish. It's true?

Im living in Pattaya. Someone around here experienced doing this extension at Jomtien Immigration office? And can confirm when the extension start to count?

As my visa finish on 28 December (Monday), Im little bit scare that Immigration gonna be packed that days.

I would like to do as soon as possible but I don't want to lose days of stay.

And one more question. I asked my landlord for do the TM30. She already registered me doing the TM30 online, but I don't have any paper for present at Immigration.

She said is not necessary, Im already registered and Im ok with that?

Thanks!!

What type of visa did you use when you entered the country that gave you the permit to stay you want to extend?

Not sure at this time when Jomtien start the covid 19 60 day extensions. It should start from the day you current permit to stay ends.

Immigration can check the database to confirm the TM30 report was done online. You will need the name used by your landlord when the report was done.

I entered the country with tourist visa. After got amnesty and now Im with medical Visa (finish on 28 December)

Yea It would make sense that start to count when your current permission of stay finish, but I read some people that said they lost days of stay because apply 2 weeks earlier.

If someone experienced applying this extension at Jomtien Immigration office I would appreciate the info.

Thanks

I am sure you got a extension of stay based upon medical treatment not a visa.

If you apply next Thursday or Friday you would only lose a few days if they start it on the day you apply. I would not advise waiting until Monday the 28th.

Where was your medical extension issued, in Jomtien or elsewhere? If elsewhere, you might need to file a new TM30 report if your original one predates your medical extension.

@zekelin

I went yesterday at Mueng Thon Thani (Bangkok) to file my TM30 and to do the Covid Extension.

I eould check before if the TM30 online is already in the system before going there at the immigration. ABOUT THE THE DAY THEY START COUNTING: I can confirm that I have been told that it will start from the day I presented the Covid Extension. It isdifferent from usual!

So for me the 60 days (under evaluation) started yesterday. So I have been told. (I will have to go again the 25th pf December to have the final stamp till Feb 16.

Good Luck!

Yes my stamp of my medical extension is from Khon Kaen, but I never been there as I used an agency for this extension, so I cannot fill any TM30 from Khon Kaen...

If I explain this at Immigration can I get any problem?

I saw a post from someone similar recently. If you have a look back you may find. I think they complained but cause he had an tm30 was ok.

I wouldn't tell an immigration officer at a different immigration office how you got your medical extension.

Just make sure you have everything you need in case they ask you to file a TM30 report before processing your Covid-19 extension. Or use the agent again.

I believe it depends on your nationality, with those from developed countries treated differently to groups like Filipinos and Vietnamese. Do you mind me asking what nationality you are?

The KK agent-enabled extension information will already be 'in the system' so no need to not mention anything. As suggested, be prepared with the landlord's name as written in Thai to expedite the verification of the TM30 filing or have what's needed to validate and/or self-file if that proves too difficult.

Moldova? Germany? It may make a difference to how you're treated. There are definitely reports of Brits and Americans getting their new extension from when the last one ended even when they showed up a few days early.

That is not a Nationality, various EEC members are not all treated the same by Thailand. Non EEC countries in Europe also differ.

Im Spanish.

Anyway, I did my extension. They just asked for the TM30 from here, I had it and everything was fine.

Now I have a stamp under consideration and have to go back on 9 January. Let's see how many days they give me and when started to count it.

Thanks to all.
