Prawit rejects notion of graft at borders, says nobody to blame for new outbreak

Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan defended officials at the borders, saying nobody could be blamed for the new Covid-19 outbreak.

 

He said on Tuesday that more soldiers had been sent to the borders to control the influx of illegal migrants.

 

He went on to say that the government was monitoring the situation to decide whether lockdown measures should be applied again, adding that people should not panic.

 

Prawit said there were several natural routes connecting Thailand with neighbouring countries and they had to be blocked.

 

As for corruption, he said he does not believe any officials will have accepted money to let illegal migrants cross the borders.

Gracious me not. They are all as honest as the day is long. ( using winter in northern Sweden as the daylight benchmark )

Is that Anutin behind him receiving the bar of gold? I guess he's Covid-19 immune and doesn't need a face mask.

Nobody? He seems to be at odds with The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA):

the same people who are running the country are also gaurding the borders. how will the blame their own colleagues from the same department ????????????????

In government and authority Thais never do wrong. It's all down to those pesky Burmese finding easy routes through the jungle and unaided all the way to Samut Sakhon.

I hope this results in a good hard look at visa agencies in general and starts the ball rolling in ridding the country of them..

Please use discretion in your references to the government. Phrases which can be considered as anti-coup will be removed. Referring to Thailand or the government as a dictatorship, military dictatorship or other such terms will be removed.

This  forum becomes kind of a  joke .

Any person who wears an appropriate mask is without knowledge of the real world. The valve in his mask allows him to breath out any viruses he may have as well as lack of knowledge of the real situation, or perhaps he is part of the real situation.

Doing what his cohorts and regime does best.....lies.

Time to tuck him up in a safe place... if he thinks officials are not involved in illegal entry of migrants it's time to put him out to pasture.

If he thinks Thai company owners are not employing cheap illegal slave labour then he's blind.
