A tonne of prawns sold out outside Government House, pro-democracy group says

The leader of pro-democracy "We Volunteer" group, Piyarat Chongthep, on Saturday decided to sell a tonne of prawns in front of Government House, in response to a decrease in seafood sales across the nation due to the new Covid-19 crisis in Samut Sakhon province.

Restaurant in Samyan Mitrtown told to close until Dec 28

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) has reported that further testing of people believed to have been at high-risk exposure of contracting COVID-19 from the three cases already confirmed on the island have failed to identify any new cases of people infected with the disease.

Justice Ministry enhances COVID-19 measures in prisons

BANGKOK (NNT) - Overcrowding in prisons poses a high risk of COVID-19 transmission. The Ministry of Justice has now ordered a suspension of visits at 121 prisons across the country to protect inmates from the disease, while discussing with the Supreme Court the release of inmates convicted of less serious crimes, and inmates on parole as quickly as possible to reduce crowding.
