Health agency urges people against believing offers of Covid-19 vaccine

The Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not provided any certification for the use of Covid-19 vaccines in Thailand and warned people against believing any person or establishment that promises to get them vaccines by reservation.

Thai currency to move within Bt29.80 and Bt30.30 range this week

Between December 28 and January 1, Kasikornbank expects the baht to move within the range of Bt29.80 and Bt30.30 against the US dollar.

Virologist urges Samut Sakhon shrimp market visitors to voluntarily test for Covid-19

In a Facebook post on Monday, Chulalongkorn University’s expert virologist Dr Yong Poovorawan advised people who visited the shrimp market in Samut Sakhon to take Covid-19 tests in a bid to contain the spread of the virus.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand recorded 3,065 foreign tourists in November, official data showed on Monday, in its second month of receiving long-stay visitors after a ban was imposed in April to keep coronavirus infections under control.

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - A Chinese court handed a four-year jail term on Monday to a citizen-journalist who reported from the central city of Wuhan at the peak of last year's coronavirus outbreak, on grounds of "picking quarrels and provoking trouble," her lawyer said.
