Nonthaburi declared COVID-19 controlled zone as infections surge

 

 

Bangkok’s neighboring province of Nonthaburi has been declared a COVID-19 controlled zone, with the Bang Yai central market placed under maximum control and one condominium locked down, as coronavirus continues to spread.

 

Twenty-one new COVID-19 cases were recorded, raising infections to 174, with 114 recoveries and 58 others still under treatment in hospitals.  Two deaths have, so far, been reported in the province.

 

Governor Suchin Chaichumsak signed an order, designating the entire province a COVID-19 controlled zone, with the exception of villages 5 and 6 in Tambon Sao Thong Hin Bang Yai district which are being placed under maximum control.
