Wow!  Somebody else thinks this is a great tune.  I had posted this years ago, several times over the years, and got the same zero reactions each time.  It's a fantastic, classy and well-done piece of music.  A perfect song for Boz Scaggs' style vocals.  And any bluesy tune with Duane Allman on guitar is a guaranteed knock-one-outta-the-park home run hit.  The only fault I can find is that even at 12:45 it's too short a number.  Thanks for posting.  :jap:

May as well take advantage of the opportunity to post another train song, Waiting For A Train.  Off the same '69 eponymously titled album.  Duane appears on this track as well.

Wonderful contribution there, jvs, on so many levels.  Good fun and humour is always appreciated on this thread.

I believe you will not find a lot of people in Holland that do not know this song, did you notice anything strange?

Other than the fact that he looks a lot like Santa Claus and it's so near to Christmas, no.  LOL  But don't tell me just yet.  I'll have to give it a second viewing to see if can figure it out.

I watched it again and paid particular attention but what you're alluding to is too subtle for me.  Now it's driving me crazy so . . . LOL

Nice tune, bannork.  I'm a sucker for slide guitar.  Any song with slide or steel guitar gets my ears perked up.

Now, the following tune is not a fit for this thread but rules are made to be broken.  The slide guitar in the above tune was my inspiration . . . . so it's all your fault, LOL.  A beautifully haunting tune, Ray LaMontagne with a live BBC Four Session version of Empty recorded in London.  Off of his 2006 Till The Sun Turns Black album.

What a sweet and gentle slide guitar on this track.

LOL.  You know, I did see that but I thought, nah, that's TOO obvious.  jvs must be talking about something else.

BTW, since it's Christmas check out my new thread in this forum.  Yes, I'm shamelessly plugging myself here.  LOL

In My World off of their '81 Long Distance Voyager album.

BONUS:  I'll give anyone who can identify the film the video is set to a 100 smackers.

Now I know everyone has been losing sleep over the answer and I'm starting to feel guilty about being responsible for so many restless nights.  So, O.K., here's the answer . . .

Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 Romeo And Juliet starring the sensuous 16 y.o. British actress Olivia Hussey (50% Argentinian via her mother) as Juliet.  It was the first movie I had seen which had some evocative scenes of Olivia flashing her nipples and as I was rather young at the time . . . .

Is it obvious the movie had a lasting impression on me?  LOL
