I have friend currently in Thailand with a Business visa that will expire soon. Is it easily possible to extend a business visa or the best is to ask for tourist visa extension ?

Thank you for your advice

He would have to be working for a Thai company and have a work permit to apply for a extension of stay based upon working.

He does not have a tourist visa entry so that extension is not an option.

He could apply for a 60 day covid 19 extension.

Thank you very much for your advice. Actually my friend arrived to Thailand on a business visa issued by the Thai Embassy in Switzerland, he had several meetings with Thai companies but never had work permit. I will suggest him to ask for Covid extension.

On a similar note - I have lost one year of my business visa during 2020. (No WP - only business visits). Is there any chance that the embassy will extend it to compensate? London embassy cannot be bothered to answer.....

I would say there is no chance it would be extended.

Once issued they will not do any revision to a visa unless there is an error on it.

My business visa expire in March.

I am staying here already 13 years and am still paying my self salary,  taxes and social security for my staff.

Any problems with extension you think Ubon Joe?

No changes to apply for a extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon working.

It is should not be a problem if you have all the required documents.

I heard they are extending Elite visas to compensate for lost time... is that correct?

They were extending the expiration date of the PE visa for 6 months.

Not the same as a visa issued by a embassy or consulate.
