Most people have the opportunity to be able to walk outside and enjoy their own environment. People often live very close to beautiful places in their own towns, cities, countryside and so on where they can go for walks and runs. This is not a time for extravagant,  luxury holidays , but rather a time to focus on keeping safe and considering the safety of others around us.

Never looked at Thailand as luxurious or extravagant.  More like affordable and convenient, well it was.  Living here is different as well when you decide on the lifestyle you want to live.  Affordability is up to what the market and your pocketbook will bear.

Sadly, many of those people are not coming back. They are dead. Covid has hit the Walking street  people the hardest - Over age 65, obese, smoker, pre-existing diseases of heart, kidney diabetes, lung.

Pattaya will become the convention capital of SE Asia once the redevelopment and clean up is finished.

Did not trust any I saw.  I have been to Pattaya for events. When you stay at Hilton or Meridien,  everything is safe, clean proper, but it is nothing special.

Maybe not luxurious to you, but i can guarantee it would be for  millions of other people.
My main point being is that it's a dangerous time to travel due to the severity of the virus, hence why these travel restrictions are currently in place.

For all their faults, the Thai Gov has done spectactualy well, GREAT in fact!! 67 deaths out of 69 million population. Is a miracle! wishful thinking but the reality isn't so. Covid is THE reality at the moment and it's here and everywhere making people sick, killing people,threatening jobs, killing businesses, loved ones,relationships and destroying world economy. It will take years for the vaccine to prove itself to be safe&effective but that's not even guaranteed. Hell, we don't even have vaccines for the common cold or AIDS yet. And even if "those days" concept makes a come-back 10 years later, it will return very different than how we know it. it doesn't give me pleasure to write this but better accept the truth, so we can all deal with the reality better and more cautiously.

 Thais love Pattaya. I speak full Thai. Pattaya will be back. Not 100%..But within 2 years unless they rezone..Any disaster is on the horizon with this destroying leader
